LENSES2 is an installation that builds upon the artist’s previous work, LENSES, which was presented after their residency at CYENS – Thinker Maker Space in March 2024. The installation features three aluminum frames that enclose layers of plexiglass, vacuum-formed into fluid shapes, creating an illusion of virtuality.
In LENSES2, the artist has added a layer of animated projections, exploring the interplay of light and shadow as rays pass through the distorted plexiglass, generating a dynamic spectrum. This work aims to blur the boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds, challenging viewers’ perceptions of reality. Through this installation, the artist comments on the concept of hyperreality, reversing its narrative to evoke deeper contemplation on our interaction with the digital realm.

Angeliki (1991, Greece) is an architect and visual artist, specialising in digital artforms in relation to physical space. Intrigued by spatial perception, she works with digital imagery, visual projections and sculptures, interacting with viewers’ perceptions and altering their spatial understanding to probe preset notions of reality.
She holds an MA in Spatial Strategies from Weissensee’s Art Academy in Berlin, and a MArch from University of Cyprus. She participated in Milan Design Week, the 15th Venice Biennale of Architecture Cyprus Pavilion, the Dresden Kunstgewerbemuseum’s exhibition, and had her first solo exhibition at CYENS Centre of Excellence in Nicosia, March 2024. Involved in architectural design, she also engages in stage and visual design for art performances and exhibitions.
