What if we could smell memories?
“Moody” is an interactive interior object designed for nostalgic exploration of memories. It has been created as a hybrid piece of furniture, allowing users to revisit important moments from their lives. Combining multimedia and sensory elements, it offers a unique, immersive experience that brings memories to life through both images and smells. The aim of the project is to create an interior device that analyzes photographs and generates smells that correspond to the visual content, based on a specially created AI program.
With its thoughtful design and wide range of functions, Moody is the ideal tool for celebrating and reliving important moments at home.
The prototype was developed by Weronika Mikłusiak under the supervision of Dominika Sobolewska and Barnaba Mikułowski and with the support of the research team: Mateusz Rukowicz, Aleksandra Sitek and Michal Majewski from the Mindful Design Studio for Interactive Spaces and Objects at the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw.

Weronika Mikłusiak is a designer specializing in objects for interiors and a recent graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where she majored in Interior Design. Her passion lies in blending design and architecture with new media art. She has gained experience at KLUstudio Polish Interior Design Studio and acquired invaluable practice through private projects, internships, and volunteering at various art festivals.
