Nephogram is a free app that calculates how many grams of CO2 are emitted by the photos we share on social media.
This artistic project by Andrés Galeano reflects on the virtual cloud that is the Internet and the environmental impact it has in terms of carbon dioxide emissions, that are directly responsible for global warming. Nephogram wants to make this invisible cloud of the Internet and CO2 visible, measuring it and gauging its dimensions in order to make us aware of the need to adopt a more responsible and sustainable use of our digital devices.
Nephogram is a digital tool that combines art, science and technology to minimize our carbon footprint when we share photos on the Internet, thus promoting a more ecological future.
